Representatives from IVY Cooperative Association Consults on Technical Trainees

On the 10th May 2016, Mr. Masamine Fukuyama, representative from IVY Cooperative Association, met with Minister Counselor (on labour) Mrs. Suchada Cheecharoen to report that the association had taken Ms. Phonnapha Yaesor, employee of Roiyal Derika in Kooma, to contact the consular section to process her passport. At present, the organization has accepted 86 Thai trainees, mostly working with employers in the food manufacturing and bakery business, for retail. The organization invited the Japanese Labour Office to the orientation for new trainees to advise working and living practices in Japan before starting work in August 2016. The association also expressed its willingness to cooperate with the Labour Office in Japan in organizing activities to support the language skills of trainees, on the occasion of the 130th anniversary for Thai-Japanese formal relations next year in 2017.
