• Ministry of Labour Signs Competitive Workforce Agreement to Improve Thai

    The Deputy Prime Minister presided over the signing of the ‘enhancing vocational studies for civil state power’, alongside the Minister of Labour, Minister of Education, Minister of Industry, 13 leading national organizations and the social sector, in an effort to drive directions for labour development to align with demands by the industrial sector and enhancing quality of the workforce for better income.

    The Ministry of Labour has promoted knowledge of the Skills Development Promotion Act, B.E. 2545 in preparation for the ASEAN Economic Community. Maj. Romayong Surakitbunharn, Deputy Secretary General of Social Security office also attended.

    The Labour Minister reiterated for all relevant units to create awareness and accelerate results, and emphasized creation of understanding on Thailand’s resolutions to human trafficking, specifically in child labour, slavery and foreign labourers with both local and international media and the public. The Labour Minister also spoke about systematic integration to resolve the issue in all dimensions.
