• Ministry of Labour Joins EU and ILO on Resolution of Labour Issues in Fishing

    The Ministry of Labour joined hands with the European Union (EU) and International Labour Organization (ILO) on a collaborative project to combat unacceptable forms of work in the Thai fishing and seafood industry, whereby signing a Letter of Intent to resolve working conditions in violation of basic human rights in both of the above industries.

  • Labour Minister Opens Smart Training Center for Workforce Development

    The Labour Minister presided over the opening of the Smart Training Center and the Department of Skills Development’s 23rd anniversary, where he reiterated intentions to create a high-potential workforce in support of the government’s policies for the opening of the AEC.

     
  • EU and ILO Commends Thai Government’s Efforts on Elevating Labour Rights

    The Labour Minister gave a statement saying that the Ministry of Labour had joined the EU and ILO in signing an agreement for resolutions on IUU fishing, enforcing strict regulations to eliminate exploitation of labour. The Labour Minister expressed confidence that achievements could be seen soon. The EU on the other hand commended the Thai government for showing sincere intentions to resolve the issue with the Ministry of Labour already prepared to take action.
