Ministry of Labour and Khon Kaen Province Arrange “MOL to Meet the People 2015” Event


               The Permanent Secretary of Labour commenced the “Ministry of Labour to Meet the People” project, with the arrangement of a marketplace to meet the workforce and held activities to honor the monarchy on the 27th March 2015 which took place behind the Kanjanapisek Conference Center of Khon Kaen University. The Ministry of Labour collaborated with Khon Kaen province in arranging the project to meet the people for the year 2015, with Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Nakorn Silpaarcha presiding over the commencement ceremony. Khon Kaen Provincial Governor Mr. Kumtorn Thavornsathit welcomed the president of the commencement ceremony alongside Provincial Labour Chief Mr. Suthi Sukosol and chiefs from the government sector in affiliation with the Ministry of Labour reported labour situations in Khon Kaen to the Permanent Secretary of Labour. 


               This was the fourth event of the 2015 fiscal year that the Ministry has arranged the event to meet the people in Khon Kaen whereby the Ministry of Labour arranges these events in 4 provinces including Chaing Mai, Chon Buri, Khon Kaen and Songkhla. As for Khon Kaen, the event was arranged during from the 27th to the 28th of March 2015 with the objective to create better understanding between the public sector, private sector and the people in the local area, including creating an understanding amongst the people on democratic rights bringing unity and national reconciliation to honor the monarchy and to take the royal initiative into implementation to develop careers and the quality of the people, creating reconciliation and unity amongst the people. The integration of missions by the Ministry of Labour and other government units to service the people in the local area consisted of 2 main activities which were: 


              1.  The Ministry of Labour’s activities to meet the workforce (KKU Job Fair 2015) which is a method of creating jobs, careers, income and stability, such as providing advice on labour issues, advice on labour laws and an expo on 40 professions. This is to promote independent professions, provide career guidance, provide career counselling, tests for professional preparedness, provide advice on loan sources for professions, checks and maintenance on motor vehicles, providing advice to insurers under Article 40 and providing initial medical checkups to the local people who participated in the event.

              2.  Activities by various government units such as activities to honour the monarchy and to adopt and implement royal initiatives in developing careers and the quality of the workforce, and activities to promote the reform of the nation as well as a royal exhibition. Brochures were also distributed to the people containing His Majesty the King’s royal words and teachings.
