Labour Minister Welcomes President of JCC in Bangkok on Courtesy Call and Introduction of New Executive Committee

        On August 19, 2019, at 15.00 hours, Labour Minister M.R. Chatumongol Sonakul welcomed President of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce in Bangkok Mr. Shinji Nakano and committee on courtesy call and to introduce the new executive committee of the Chamber of Commerce. The visit also included an exchange of views on the current economic situation, whereby there will be a business report on the survey results of Japanese companies in Thailand that are members of JCC. The report also presents requests of Japanese companies to the new Thai government.
        On this occasion, the President of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce in Bangkok presented a report on the survey of economic trends of Japanese venture capital firms and requests of Japanese companies to the new Thai government, in terms of driving the primary policy, economic measures and enhancing the business environment. It also included a discussion on issues related to the Ministry of Labour, including labour shortages, a resolution to problems regarding work permit applications, improving education and human resource development in line with industrial progress and the minimum wage determination, for example. The meeting took place at the Labour Minister’s room, 6th floor, Ministry of Labour.
