Labour Minister Assists Employees of Apex in Samut Sakhon with 84 Already Placed in New Jobs

           The Labour Minister reported that an employment agency in Samut Sakhon was in consultation with Sinsakhon Industrial Estate Business Association to assist 147 employees who did not pass their probation period. It concluded new jobs for 84 people, whereby 28 people wished to return to their home provinces, and 35 are in coordination.

 

           On September 25, 2019, Labour Minister M.R. Chatumongol Sonakul reported the progress of assisting employees in the case of Apex Circuit (Thailand), Samut Sakhon, which terminated the employment of 147 employees. He said that the Ministry of Labour by the Samut Sakhon Provincial Employment Office had a meeting with the Sinsakhon Industrial Estate Business Association and the human resources department of the company, to find ways to assist. President of Sinsakhon Industrial Estate Business Association Mr. Chathip Tangkulphaisan chaired the meeting.
           M.R. Chatumongol said that from discussions with the Sinsakhon Industrial Estate Business Association and the human resources department of Apex Circuit (Thailand) Co., Ltd. found new jobs for those who did not pass the probation period for 84 people, of which 18 have already joined their new company. For the remaining 66 people, the company will pick them up for work tomorrow (September 26, 19). For the other 28 people, they wished to return to their home province, and 35 people are in the process of liaising to find out their needs. Employers/companies are wanting to employ more workers, such as Pecsprint Co., Ltd., and Marine Gold Products Co., Ltd, with 300 positions, Flexx Graphic Co., Ltd. with 15 posts, and Napa Asia Co., Ltd. to support job applications for the people who did not pass probation.
