Deputy PM Instructs Labour Minister to Coordinate Ambulances, Hospital Beds and Social Security Hospitals to Support Cluster of 128 Employees in Steel Company with Covid-19

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin reported that Prime Minister and Defense Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha is concerned about insured persons and the people affected by the Covid-19 outbreak. Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, who oversees the Ministry of Labour, has instructed the acceleration on coordination to assist in employees of CSP Steel Center Public Company Limited, Phra Samut Chedi, Samut Prakan, which found 128 people infected with Covid-19, to provide ambulances, medical beds, and hospital support. From initial efforts (May 3, 2021), the Ministry of Labour has coordinated with Chularat Hospital for ambulances to pick up 23 people. This morning (May 4, 2021), it has coordinated with Chularat Hospital for ambulances to pick up another 27 people. This afternoon, the rest will be completed, bringing all the infected employees to hospitals in the social security network and Hospitels.

          Mr. Suchart said that Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha have concerns for insured persons and people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, who oversees the Ministry of Labour, has instructed the support of the workforce to provides proactive assistance and facilitation in Covid-19 screening and adequate medical beds. In the event that an insured person, any citizen, asks for help, for the Ministry of Labour to provides a bed and Covid-19 testing sites. If insured persons want to be admitted to a social security network hospital, the Social Security Office has established the Center for the Covid-19 situation administration to coordinate for Hospitels. Insured persons can call 1506 and press 6 as another channel of communication for those who cannot find a test site and hospital for treatment in case of infection. The service is available every Monday to Sunday from 08.00 hours to 17.00 hours. There are ten lines with staff available to assist insured persons and people suffering from the Covid-19 screening to receive support promptly.
