Malaysia Labour Office Promotes Thai Jobs and Labour Market

                  On 20-22 May 2011, the Office of Labour Affairs in Malaysia held an event to promote Thai jobs and labour markets in the LUXTOFAIR 2011 (Luxury Tourism Fair) at the Putra World Trade Center (PWTC) in Kuala Lumpur. 

 

 

                The Malaysia Office of Labour Affairs held the demonstration of Thai massage performed by trained masseuses who have passed skills standards test in Thailand. The place was decorated in Thai traditional style. Correct information on Thai massage was distributed. The activity was aimed to promote the understanding on the arts of Thai massage, a Thai traditional heritage, to Malaysian employers and to leverage the acceptance of Thai massaging professions among Malaysians. 

 

 

                 At the fair, the Malaysia Office of Labour Affairs had staff to give information and instructions on how to hire Thai workers legally, as well as Thai employment conditions, to employers and those wishing to hire Thai workers. During the 3-day period, there were more than 3,000 visitors and 205 people asking inquiries.
