MOL Signs MOU on Development of Health Volunteers in Factories, Establishments, and Communities

           On June 22, 2021, at 15.00 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol assigned Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Niyom Songkaew to sign a Memorandum of Understanding for the development of health volunteers in factories and communities to promote health and eliminate COVID-19 outbreaks among migrant workers. Director-General of the Department of Employment Mr. Phairoj Chotikasathian, the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare’s Director-General Mr. Apinya Sucharitanan, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Public Health Dr. Thongchai Keerati Hatthayakon, and Director-General of the Department of Health Service Support Dr. Thares Krasaniyarawiwong joined the meeting at the Meeting Room 1, 9th floor, Department of Health Service Support, Ministry of Health. The Ministry of Labour has a role in promoting, supporting, and driving the development of health volunteers in factories, establishments, and communities in the form of Foreign Health Volunteers and Factory/Workplace Health Volunteers to expand workers’ network of workers.
