Automobile Union Members Have a Peace of Mind as the Labour Minister Helps Clarify Labour Demands

          The Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin welcomed the Chairman of the Federation of Thailand Automobile Workers, Mr. Manit Promkarikul, and members of the trade union to follow up on demands for the government to control the prices of consumer products and cancel the employment of wage contracts and plans to support the impact of workers from the switch to electric cars.           Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin joined the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha’s delegation on an official government inspection in Chiang Mai. The Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Thienrat Navamawat, the Department of Employment’s Director-General, Mr. Pairoj Chotiksetian, the Department of Skill Development’s Director-General, Mr. Prateep Songlamyong, the Social Security Office’s Secretary-General, Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, and heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Chiang Mai Province participated in the occasion too.           On June 29, 2022, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, assigned Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong as a representative to receive a letter from the Presidents of the Confederation of Thai Labour, Mr. Panas Thailuan, and Mr. Chinnachot Saengsang, who brought members to submit a letter and a bouquet. Labour Minister Assigns MOL Spokespersonto the South to Attend the SDSBP Committee Meeting on Resolving the People’s Issues and Recovering the Economy and Tourism in Hat Yai

          On June 8, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour as the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson, Mr. Wannarat Srisuksai, to attend the meeting of the Strategic Development of the Southern Border Provinces (SDSBP) Committee No. 3/2022. Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, as the Chairman of the Strategic Development of the Southern Border Provinces Committee, chaired the meeting and followed up on economic promotion and resolution of problems and inequality in the southern border provinces. MOL Working Group Meets to Follow Up on Implementation of National Labour Day Requests for 2022

          On June 2, 2022, at 13.00 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, chaired the working group’s meeting to follow up on the implementation of the National Labour Day requests for 2022. The meeting took place at the Prof. Nikhom Chantravitun meeting room, 5th floor, Department of Labour Protection and Welfare. The meeting acknowledged the Ministry of Labour’s Order No. 217/2022, dated April 29, 2022, regarding the appointment of a working group to monitor the implementation of the National Labour Day requests for 2022. Additionally, the National Labour Day 2022 Organizing Committee made eight requests for National Labour Day 2022, submitted to the Prime Minister (General Prayuth Chan-ocha) on the National Labour Day Year 2022, on May 1, 2022. Labour Minister Awards Blue Factory Establishment Certificates as the Private Sector Shows Appreciation for the “Factory Sandbox” Project to Support Employment and Business Continuity

On May 20, 2022, the Labour Minister  Mr. Suchart Chomklin welcomed Mr. Noriyuki Kitasato, President of Aishin Asia Pacific Co., Ltd., and his team, on meeting the Labour Minister to receive a certificate for the blue factory establishment through the the “Factory Sandbox Project.” The certificate was awarded to Aishin Corporation, a subsidiary of automobile manufacturers. At present, there are ten affiliated companies and 14 affiliated companies in Thailand, with 13,129 employees. On this occasion, the Labour Minister also received 2,000 bags of rice weighing 5kg each from the company’s representatives. The donation is to help those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and alleviate suffering. This is beneficial to the workforce, an important part of driving Thailand’s business and economy. Labour Minister’s Secretariat Joins Committee Meeting to Drive the Promotion of Education and Jobs for Students and Workers at All Levels

          On April 29, 2022, Secretariat to the Labour Minister Mr. Suthep Chitvong chaired the committee’s meeting to drive the implementation of promoting education and jobs for students and workers at all levels between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Labour.             On April 29, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin spoke about the news where a woman from Udon Thani asked for help. Her mother was deceived into prostitution in Dubai, along with 10 Thai women in the same situation. Employers’ Organization Council Submits Letter Through the Labour Minister Asking the Government to Consider Reviewing the Minimum Wage and Disagree on the Increase to 492 Baht Nationwide

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin welcomed Dr. Taweekiat, Vice President of the Employers’ Organization Council, on the occasion of bringing representatives of the Employers’ Organization Councils, which includes the Employers’ Confederation of Thailand, the Employers’ Association, the Small & Medium Industrial Institute, the Employers’ Confederation of Thai Trade and Industry, and 40-50 employers’ confederations to meet the Labour Minister.
