Labour Minister Visits Southern Provinces to Present Policies and Meet with Labour Graduates Promoting Occupational Security

          The Labour Minister visited the southern border provinces to present the Ministry of Labour’s policies and operational guidelines to government agencies’ heads in Songkhla, Pattani, and Yala provinces. He also met and gave encouragement to labour graduates, leading labour missions to the people in the area, building occupational security towards peace in the southern border areas.
          On October 17, 2020, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin chaired to present the Ministry of Labour’s policies and operational guidelines to the heads of government agencies in Songkhla and listed information on policy implementation. The meeting took place at the Songkhla Provincial Labour Office meeting room, with heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Songkhla welcoming the visiting committee. Under the leadership of Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha, the Labour Minister said that the government has continually emphasized resolving the unrest in the southern border provinces. The Ministry of Labour, under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, has given importance to maintaining security in the area by relying on the development and upgrading of the quality of life of the people in to alleviate suffering, create jobs and careers to bring peace back to normal as soon as possible. Today, the Labour Minister visited the southern border provinces to monitor the performance of the government labour policies, ready to listen to the peoples’ issues, recommendations from the heads of government agencies in Songkhla, Pattani and Yala provinces and related sectors to drive the Ministry of Labour’s missions towards the people in the area. The efforts are driven by promoting employment and self-employment and ensuring the workers have access to skill development according to requirements, have occupational welfare and safety, and social security so that the people in the southern border provinces can have a better quality of life.
          The Labour Minister also visited, met, and gave words of encouragement to Pattani labour graduates. He showed admiration to all the labour graduates in the area dedicated to serving, supporting, and promoting the Ministry of Labour’s missions to the local people, for a career, income good quality of life, and reducing conflicts.
The labour graduates are currently responsible for various areas, such as providing labour-related information to the people and relaying information from the area to labour agencies. Their efforts promote the people to have a career, income, and benefits, leading to a good quality of life and security. The labour graduates act as a medium to create positive understanding, reducing the gap between the state and the people. They also follow up and evaluate the service’s performance to the people and use it to create jobs for people in the area.
