Labour Minister Welcomes Automobile Labour Congress of Thailand and Labour Leaders to Encourage and Support MOL Carrying Out Missions

            On February 23, 2021, at 08.45 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin welcomed Mr. Manit Promkarikul, President of the Automobile Labour Congress of Thailand, and Mr. Santi Patiphanarat, Secretary-General of Thailand Motorcyclists Association and Vice President of the Informal Workers’ Federation, Deputy of the Informal Workers’ Confederation, and the delegation, on the occasion of taking labour leaders to give words of encouragement and support to the missions of the Labour Minister who has assisted insured persons under Section 33 affected by Covif-19. Previously, the labour leaders submitted a letter to the Labour Minister asking the Ministry of Labour to help the workforce recover from the Covid-19 impacts. Although some businesses did not stop all operations, many establishments have reduced wages and reduced overtime payments to employees. The Labour Minister has seen these problems and troubles and has consulted with the government. The Cabinet passed a resolution on February 15 to approve the “Section 33 We Love Each Other” project to help insured persons under Section 33, successfully covering over 11 million people. The meeting took place at the Chatumongkol meeting room, 6th floor, Ministry of Labour.
