On October 28, 2020, at 13.30 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol as head of the Thai delegation to attend the 11th ASEAN Plus Three Labour Ministers’ Meeting (ALMM + 3) through a video conference system at Sangsingkeaw meeting room. The Permanent Secretary of Labour made a statement on behalf of Thailand on measures to promote human resource development to support the changes from the 4th Industrial Revolution, the change in population structure to an aging society, and the spread of COVID-19. Thailand has implemented various important measures to support affected workers, such as employment measures by government agencies, employment programs for new graduates, promoting STEAM skills, and others, especially digital skills and increasing unemployment benefits, for example. He also invited the ASEAN Member States to cooperate in protecting and helping workers without leaving anyone behind.
