          On 20 December 2016, the Government of Malaysia By the Minister of Human Resources announced that employers must be responsible for paying employment fees for foreign workers or Levy in hiring foreign workers. Effective from January 1, 2018 (2561), this summary is as follows:
The Malaysian government has announced that employers are required to pay Levy for hiring foreign workers.
          On 20 December 2016, the Government of Malaysia By the Minister of Human Resources announced that employers must be responsible for paying employment fees for foreign workers or Levy in hiring foreign workers. Effective from January 1, 2018 (2561), this summary is as follows:
          From January 1, 2018, employers will be responsible for paying the levy on the employment of new foreign workers and old foreign workers who are due to renew their work permits including foreign workers who have been granted a work permit in 2017 and a license until 2018.
          Employers pay employment fees for foreign workers( the levy) in hiring foreign workers. Employers Undertaking is a condition in which employers must sign before obtaining employment permits.
Employers who do not comply with the law, regulations, and policies regarding levy payment schedules for foreign workers will be subject to strict enforcement measures.
