The meeting considered the gracious donations from the sale of the “lucky labour tickets” at the Thai Red Cross Society for 2020 to Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, Vice President, Thai Red Cross Society. MOL Organizes “Workers Unite to Donate Blood; One Donor, Many Recipients” Blood Donation Event No. 2/2021

         The Labour Minister’s Advisor visited and gave words of encouragement to people donating blood at the “Workers Unite to Donate Blood; One Donor, Many Recipients” event No. 2/2021. She emphasized that the participants are sacrificial and do good deeds to repay the land with their hearts.          On June 4, 2021, at 12.30 hours, Advisor to the Labour Minister Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan and Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Ms. Aumphun Thuwawit as Deputy President of the Ministry of Labour’s Housewives Association, encouraged blood donors in the “Workers Unite to Donate Blood; One Donor, Many Recipients” event No. 2/2021, encouraging the blood donors to donate blood regularly every three months, to ensure sufficient blood donations for patients across the country. This is the second blood donation activity in 2021, with 60 people interested in participating. Labour Minister Plants Trees on National Tree Day 2021

          On May 28, 2021, at 09.00 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin chaired the ceremony to plant golden teak trees. Deputy Labour Minister Prof. Narumon Pinyosinwat and Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol planted black rosewood trees alongside him. The Ministry of Labour’s executives also joined the occasion of National Tree Day 2021. Labour Minister Receives Requests from SERC and TLSC on National Labour Day 2021

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin received requests for the National Labour Day to be presented to the Prime Minister to help the workforce and improve workers’ quality of life to ensure protection and safety at work, with social security.           On April 30, 2021, at 13.00 hours, at the Chatumongkol meeting room, 6th floor, Ministry of Labour, the Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Advisor to the Labour Minister Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives received requests for the National Labour Day 2021, from Mr. Sawit Kaewwan, Secretary-General of the State Enterprises Workers’ Relations Confederation and Mr. Charlie Loisung, Advisor to the Thai Labour Solidarity Committee. Deputy PM Delivers Employee Welfare Fund of Over 21M Baht to Help Affected Employees of Brilliant Alliance

Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan delivered the employee welfare. The Ministry of Labour approved the Employee Welfare Fund of 21.4 million Baht to alleviate troubles among employees from Brilliant Alliance Thai Global Co., Ltd., in Samut Prakan, which laid off employees without compensation from the employer.                 On April 28, 2021, at 11.00 hours, at the meeting room on the 5th floor, Ministry of Labour, Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan presided over the delivery of the employee welfare of 21,465,350 Baht to alleviate the suffering of 1,161 employees from Brilliant Alliance Co., Ltd., in Samut Prakan, where the employer had terminated employment without compensation. MOL Joins International Economic Policy Committee Meeting No. 3/2021

        On April 22, 2021, at 09.30 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol as a representative of the International Economic Policy Committee Meeting No. 3/2021 together with the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare’s Director-General Mr. Apinya Sucharitanan, as a subcommittee and secretary to the subcommittee to drive the implementation of the Cabinet Resolution on the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) on labour. The meeting was in a video conference format and considered the performance of the International Economic Policy Committee, following the Cabinet Resolution on January 26, 2021, and the resolution to conduct an in-depth study over 50 days on various issues that cannot be performed. This includes benefits, effects, and remedies, ensuring caution and publicizing and listening to opinions from stakeholders about Thailand joining the CPTPP.
