The Ministry of Labour assigned its Advisor to visit Khon Kaen to drive the visit and follow up on the policy of one province, one project, with pilot training in 6 provinces, upgrading informal workers towards smart farmers. On January 24, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, to visit Khon Kaen to observe training courses for entrepreneurs in smart agriculture to drive the policy to raise the income level and community economy. The visit focused on one province, one project (curriculum) for informal worker groups, including developing additional vocational training courses focusing on innovation and suitable technology by the community for sustainable communities. On January 17, 2022, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong joined the Sustainable Development (SD) Board of Director’s Meeting No. 1/2022 via the electronic system at the Permanent Secretary of Labour’s Meeting Room, 7th Floor, Ministry of Labour. The meeting monitored the progress of the mission-driven action of the responsible agencies and coordinated the principles of driving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 targets. On December 23, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, to give an interview to the “Clear Cut, Chud Jane” program about the Ministry of Labour’s New Year Gifts. The program also explained the trend of the labour market demand in 2022 on the Radio and Television of Thailand Channel NBT. Mr. Boonchob said that in 2022, the Ministry of Labour would have 9 New Year gifts to bring happiness to the workforce. The gifts consist of the first gift, reducing the contribution rate of insured persons under Section 40 by 60 percent for six months. The second gift is a New Year gift to encourage insured persons who are bedridden patients and disabilities under every Section. On November 8, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin joined to listen to the Southern Border Provinces Development Strategy Committee’s (SBPDSC) press conference and important projects to be driven in 2022. Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha joined as the chairman of the press conference and delivered policies. The Cabinet, the Secretary-General of the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center (SBPAC), representatives of the Governors from all five southern border provinces, and related officials attended the occasion at the Phakdi Bordin Building, Government Houses.
