          On May 23, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, to preside over the opening remarks at the meeting to create awareness of social security work in Samut Songkhram Province, Class 1. Labour Minister Joins Foreign Worker Policy Management Committee Meeting to Consider Shortage of Migrant Workers and Reduce Impacts on Business Operators.

          The Foreign Worker Policy Management Committee meeting agreed on four topics to assist business operators employing migrant workers, accelerate the preparation of the MOL and MOI notifications, and relevant supporting laws before the proposal to the Cabinet.           On May 19, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin chaired the meeting of the Foreign Worker Management Policy Committee No. 2/2022. Labour Minister Invites 127 Overseas Recruitment Licensees to Discuss Expansion of the Thai Labour Market Abroad

          On April 22, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin chaired the meeting to hand over the policy of sending Thai workers to work abroad for 2022. The political management team, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Wannarat Srisuksai, joined in honour of the event. The Department of Employment’s Director-General, Mr. Pairoj Chotiksetian, gave a report, and 127 recruiting licensees to work abroad attended the meeting in the meeting room on the 5th floor, Ministry of Labour.           Mr. Suchart said that the COVID-19 situation in the past had caused restrictions on international travel. Some receiving countries adjusted their policies and delayed the acceptance of foreign workers. But at present, the receiving countries have begun to relax international travel measures. In the 2023 fiscal year, the target is to send about 50,000 workers to work abroad, excluding re-entry travel.             On March 23, 2022, at 15.00 hours, Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong presided over the meeting to follow up on the Labour Minister’s orders. Informal Workers, Taxi, Motorcycle Taxi, and Hawker Stall Groups Thank the PM for Supporting Daily Expenses

          On March 23, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin revealed that on March 22, 2022, the Cabinet issued measures to help people from the volatility of energy prices caused by the conflict between Ukraine and Russia that has affected the cost of production of goods, transportation, and services. The volatility has caused people to suffer from the rising costs of living.           On March 21, 2022, at 10.00 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, assigned Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Wannarat Srisuksai, to join the National Fisheries Committee Meeting No. 2/202 via Zoom. Assistant to Labour Minister Listens to JETRO Bangkok President’s Reflection and Perspectives on Foreign Investment Prospects

            On March 17, 2022, at 10.00 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong as representative to welcome Mr. Taketani Atsushi, President of The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and committee, on a courtesy visit to discuss and report the results of the business confidence survey of Japanese entrepreneurs in Thailand for the second half of 2021, and to exchange mutually beneficial information. The meeting took place via teleconference system at the Saengsingkaew meeting room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour. MOL Commences Course to Create Impressive Services and Upgrade Labour Skills to Support the Tourism and Service industry in Satun Province

          Advisory Board Member to the Minister of Labour, Mr. Natthawat Teeratathamrong, gave opening remarks in training to enhance labour skills, the Impressive Service Creation Course, Class 1/2022. The training will take place from March 16 to 20, 2022, at the Ananya Lipe Hotel Meeting Room, Koh Salai Subdistrict, Mueang District, Satun Province.           On March 15, 2022, at 09.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, chaired the meeting of the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour No. 2/2022 at the Prasong Rananant Conference Room, 5th Floor, Ministry of Labour. The meeting followed up on the progress of the MOU to send Thai workers to work in Saudi Arabia and push the draft Quality of Life Development and Protection Promotion for Informal Workers Act B.E.
