          The Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Thienrat Navamawat, Deputy Secretary-General of the Social Security Office, Mr. Nanthachai Panyasurarit, and the Director of the Bangkok Social Security Office Area 1 Ms. Rangsima Preechachat, to visit the area to give money for funeral expenses to the family of Ms. Jiraporn Soummart, an employee of Ratchawong Canvas, who passed away. MOL Joins Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Committee Meeting No. 2/2022

          On June 23, 2022, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, joined the Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Committee (SME) Meeting No. 2/2022 to acknowledge the reports on answers to the Prime Minister’s questions. The Chairman of the Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Committee Meeting No. 1/2022 gave a report on the ongoing performance of the ONE ID pilot project and the development of the Single Sign One system for the SME to obtain services from the government in 2013 (One Identification One SME – Phase III), and actions on public-private partnerships.             On June 23, 2022, at 13.30 hours, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud, chaired the Employee Welfare Fund Committee Meeting No. 6/2022. The meeting considered the application for assistance in cases other than compensation, the request for approval to cancel the meeting resolution, the consideration of disposing of debt from the account as bad debt and a 3-year long-term digital action plan (2021-2023), and the digital action plan for the 2022 fiscal year of the Employee Welfare Fund. It also considered the information database system and the development plan for evaluating the results and impacts of the 3-year long-term employee welfare fund (2021-2023). Labour Minister Assigns Assistant to Commence Training for Multidisciplinary Team to Eliminate Human Trafficking

           The Labour Minister assigned is Assistant “Surachai” to commence training for law enforcement officials, aiming to enhance collaboration as a multidisciplinary team to increase law enforcement capacity and protect workers’ rights. Labour Minister Consults with Guy Ryder on Promoting Collaboration on Labour Between Thailand and the ILO

          On June 9, 2022, the Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, the Ministry of Labour’s executives, the ILO’s Assistant Vice President and Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific, met with the ILO’s Director-General Mr. Guy Ryder at the International Labour Office in Geneva, Switzerland. The meeting discussed labour matters and ways of cooperation between Thailand and the International Labour Organization (ILO). Thailand joined as a founding member of the organization in 1919 and has strengthened the relationship continuously over a long time.           Mr. Suchart said that the Ministry of Labour thanked Mr. Guy Ryder for taking the time to meet today. Since Thailand was a founding member of the Organization in 1919, there has been collaboration with the ILO on promoting and driving various projects, especially on Decent Work. MOL Spokesperson Visits Songkhla to Follow Up on Labour Missions to Drive Provincial Development

          On June 9, 2022, at 09.30 hours, Mr. Wannarat Srisuksai, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, as the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson, Mr. Wannarat Srisuksai, joined the Board of Directors meeting on the direction of the organizational health promotion plan no. 5/2022 via Zoom, at the Songkhla Provincial Labour Office meeting room. The meeting acknowledged a report on the progress of the 4G organization project for happiness, understanding, preparation, and bridging the gap. MOL Working Group Organizes Activities to Meet the People at the Regional Level for the 2022 Fiscal Year

On June 1, 2022, at 09.30 hours, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud presided over the Ministry of Labour’s working group meeting on activity projects to meet the people at the regional level for the 2022 fiscal year. The meeting took place at the Prasong Rananant Conference Room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour. The meeting informed the resolution of the meeting to monitor the Labour Minister’s Order No. 2/2022 on March 23, 2022, which approved permission for the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour to organize activities to help workers who have suffered from occupational challenges. The initiative involves integrating cooperation from agencies under the Ministry of Labour. The meeting presented mission-based labour service to citizens by organizing regional activities, assigning the Strategic and Planning Division and the Office of Inspection and Evaluation to be responsible for implementing the preparation. PM Delighted that Thai Workers Are Sought After by Israeli Employers

          On May 30, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, to encourage 213 Thai workers before working in the agricultural sector in Israel under the Thailand-Israel Cooperation on the Placement of Workers (TIC).             On May 27, 2022, at 09.30 hours, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Ms. Bubpha Panpeng joined the meeting to prepare for the Senate’s 3-year seminar on June 8, 2022, for the committee to monitor, recommend and expedite national reforms. The meeting also covered the preparation and implementation of the 2nd Senate National Strategy online.
