Labour Minister Awards Plaques of Honour to 31 Organizations in the Skills Development Network

Ministry of Labour’s Department of Skill Development awards plaques of honour in skill development networks to 31 organizations in thanks for developing the industry’s workforce amid the COVID-19 situation.           On April 22, 2022, at 11.00 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin presided over the award of plaques to the skill development network of 31 organizations to honor the skill development network that supports the Ministry of Labour’s Department of Skill Development to carry out skill development to achieve the goal amid the COVID-19 situation. MOL Joins Meeting to Certify Draft Plan to Drive and Promote Bilateral Thai-Saudi Cooperation and the Draft MOU on the Establishment of the Saudi-Thai Cooperation Council

          On April 18, 2022, at 14.00 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, assigned Assistant to the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Samat Pattamasukon, to attend the meeting to certify the draft plan to drive and promote bilateral cooperation between Thailand and Saudi Arabia. The meeting also covered the draft Memorandum of Understanding on establishing the Saudi-Thai Cooperation Council, chaired by Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, at meeting rooms 1-3, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The essence of the meeting included covering the draft plan to drive and promote bilateral cooperation between Thailand and Saudi Arabia. Permanent Secretary of Labour Commences Training for MOL’s 30th Batch of New Civil Servants

          On April 18, 2022, at 08.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, presided over the opening ceremony of the training course for the Ministry of Labour’s 30th batch of new civil servants at the Human Resources Management Division’s meeting room, 10th floor, Ministry of Labour. The training aims to instill a philosophy of being a good civil servant, enhance performance and skills required for public service, and promote morals, ethics, and network development in the workplace. It focuses on learning from the experiences of qualified speakers and hands-on practice. The training will take place between April 18 to 28, 2022. Participants include civil servants from all departments under the Ministry of Labour, from the central and provincial areas. Eighty-eight people joined, comprising 54 people from the Department of Employment, one from the Department of Skill Development, and 33 from the Social Security Office. Labour Minister Assigns Spokesperson, DOE, and DSD Director-Generals to Discuss Deployment of Workers from Southern Border Provinces to Saudi Arabia with SBPAC

          On April 8, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, Mr. Pairoj Chotiksetian, and Mr. Prateep Songlamyong, to join discussions with Pol. Lt. General Somkiat Pholprayoon, Secretary-General of the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center (SBPAC), along with labour leaders in the southern border provinces. The discussions were on preparations for dispatching workers to work in Saudi Arabia. The meeting took place at the Southern Border Provinces Administration Center, Sateng Subdistrict, Mueang District, Yala Province.           Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan said that the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin signed cooperation agreements with the Saudi Arabian Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Mr. Ahmad bin Sulaiman Al-Rayihi, on recruiting general and domestic workers. Saudi Arabia’s Chamber of Commerce Commends Skills Thai Workers, Supporting the Import of Workers to Promote Trade and Investment to Drive Two Economies

          On March 28, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, the Minister’s Advisor Sergeant Ekayossingh Liamlert, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, the Department of Employment’s Director-General, Mr. Pairoj Chotikasathian, and delegation, met with Mr. Ajlan bin Abdulaziz Al-Ajlan, President of the Saudi Arabian Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce in Riyadh. The meeting negotiated cooperation in sending Thai workers to work in Saudi Arabia to support trade and investment according to the Saudi Arabian economic development guidelines.           On March 28, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, the Minister’s Advisor Sergeant Ekayossingh Liamlert, the Department of Employment’s Director-General, Mr. Pairoj Chotikasathian, and Charge d’affaires in Riyadh, Mr. Sathon Kasemsan Na Ayudhya, paid a courtesy call and discussed official matters to strengthen labour cooperation. MOL Congratulates Daily News on Starting 59th Year

          On March 28, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General Mrs. Sopa Kieatnircha, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives on behalf of the Ministry of Labour, to congratulate Daily News on its 58th anniversary, starting its 59th year. Ms. Prapin Ruchirawong, Company Director from Si Phraya Printing Co., Ltd., received the flower basket. The occasion took place at the Daily News Building, Lak Si District, Bangkok.           Daily News is a daily newspaper reporting general News. It was founded by Mr. Saeng Hetrakul.
