          On July 22, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on Politics), Mrs. Thienrat Navamawat, and Assistant to the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Samat Pattamasukon, to give rice to the representatives of housekeeper’s and security officers of departments under the Ministry of Labour, and motorcycle taxi drivers in communities nearby the Ministry of Labour. The Ministry of Labour’s executives also joined the event at the foyer on the ground floor of the Ministry of Labour.           Mrs. Thienrat said that the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha and Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, who oversees the Ministry of Labour, are concerned about the workforce and the general public who have been affected by the COVID-19 situation. Labour Minister Assigns Advisor and Spokesperson to Give Compensation to the Families of the Deceased from the Sewage Manhole Incident of a Condominium in the Bangna Area

          On July 21, 2022, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Thienrat Navamawat, the Social Security Office’s Inspector-General Ms. Pannika Luangsuri, and heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Samut Prakan Province to visit the area to give compensation to the family of insured persons who died while checking the electrical system in the sewage manhole at a condominium in the Bangna area. The occasion took place at the Dan Samrong Temple, Mueang Samut Prakan District, Samut Prakan Province.           Mr. Suchart said that the employees in the incident were building technicians of Bangkok Management Realty Co., Ltd., who lost consciousness while checking the electrical system in the sewage manhole under the condominium. Labour Minister Assigns Advisor to Visit and Give Encouragement to Insured Persons Admitted to Hospital

          On July 19, 2022, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, to visit the area and give encouragement and items to unwell insured persons staying in hospital. The heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Phetchaburi Province also participated in the event at the King Mongkut’s Hospital, Phetchaburi Province.           The Phetchaburi Provincial Social Security Office has implemented the social security program to visit people with disabilities and insured persons admitted to hospitals or post-crisis patients.           Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin joined the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha’s delegation on an official government inspection in Chiang Mai. The Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Thienrat Navamawat, the Department of Employment’s Director-General, Mr. Pairoj Chotiksetian, the Department of Skill Development’s Director-General, Mr. Prateep Songlamyong, the Social Security Office’s Secretary-General, Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, and heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Chiang Mai Province participated in the occasion too.           On June 28, 2022, at 10.00 hours, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mrs. Bubpha Phanpeng, visited the Ministry of Labour’s Service Center in Kamphaeng Phet Province at Salok Bat Subdistrict, Khanu Woralaksaburi District, Kamphaeng Phet Province. The Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General, Mrs. Tongjai Suthat Na Ayutthaya, and heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Kamphaeng Phet Province also joined the occasion. Deputy Mayor of Salok Bat Subdistrict, Mr. Kitti Khumchat, and Deputy Mayor of Salak Bat Subdistrict, Mr. Prichanon Khamkhaosirirot, gave a welcoming.           On May 30, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, to encourage 213 Thai workers before working in the agricultural sector in Israel under the Thailand-Israel Cooperation on the Placement of Workers (TIC). Labour Minister and Two Director-Generals Visit the CI and PIPO Centers on Migrant Worker Management

          On May 26, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin, the Department of Employment’s Director-General, Mr. Pairoj Chotiksetian, and the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare’s Director-General Mr. Niyom Songkaew, visited the operations of the Port In-Port Out (PIPO) Control Center in Ranong Province. Labour Minister Shows Concern for Deceived Thai Workers and Instructs the Labour Ambassador to Coordinate with the Consulate in Dubai for Return to Thailand

          On April 28, 2022, the Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin reported that he had been coordinated by Mr. Supachai Phosu, the 2nd Vice-President of the Thai House of Representatives, to help Thai workers in Dubai who were tricked by agents inviting them to work in massage parlors. However, the workers were deceived into prostitution. Therefore, he asked for help to coordinate the return to Thailand. In this regard, Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha and Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan are concerned about Thai workers working abroad. This is because workers are a key force in earning a family’s income and bringing a lot of money into the country each year.           On April 28, 2022, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong presided over the training closing ceremony for the Ministry of Labour’s 30th batch of new civil servants at The Palazzo Hotel Ratchadaphisek, Bangkok. Mr. Wannarat Srisuksai, Mr. Kattiya Pandet and Mr. Sompong Klaikhlae attended the ceremony.           Mr. Boonchob asked that all new civil servants be valuable resources to the Ministry of Labour to realize the importance of roles, duties, and responsibilities as a good government official.
