Permanent Secretary of Labour Commences Open House for the Wellness Corporate Nation-Building Project to Promote Workers’ Quality of Life

            On March 17, 2022, at 13.30 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, to chare the opening of the Open House for the Wellness Corporate Nation-Building (Wellness CNB) project. Prof. Dr. Kriengsak Charoenwongsak (Dr. Dan), President of the Nation-Building Institute, gave a lecture on “the Wellness CNB award for sustainable business creation with a model wellness organization.” Over 100 organizations are interested in participating in onsite and online projects. The occasion took place at the Lexus Showroom on Sukhumvit.             The Permanent Secretary of Labour commended the Nation-Building Institute and students of the Wellness Entrepreneurship Leadership Program for Nation Creation which gives importance to creating good quality people with the ideology to build the nation. Permanent Secretary of Labour Concludes Training for Operational/Experienced Civil Servants (Finance and Accounting Officers)

On March 18, 2022, at 15.30, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, presided over the conclusion of the training course for the development of civil servants at the operational/experienced level (finance and accounting officers) of the Ministry of Labour. The training included civil servants at the operational/experienced levels in finance and accounting from the Provincial Labour Office in every province for 76 people. Participants also joined from every department/Social Security Office, with ten people each, for 116 people. The training aims to develop the knowledge and understanding of finance and accounting work related to laws, regulations, audits and strengthen the skills necessary to perform tasks. Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Commences Seminar to Upgrade the Morality and Transparency in the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour’s Operations for the 2022 Fiscal Year

On March 18, 2022, at 09.00 hours, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mrs. Bubpha Phanpeng chaired the meeting of the seminar to upgrade the morality and transparency in the operations of the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour for the 2022 fiscal year. The training aims to enhance knowledge and understanding of government officials and civil servants under the Ministry of Labour so that they can perform their duties following the ITA assessment guidelines and apply recommendations from the assessment results to improve and enhance the assessment of good governance and government administration of the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour. The seminars participants included civil servants and officials under the Ministry of Labour who perform work related to data preparation, documentary evidence, and importing data through information technology systems to assess the integrity and transparency of the agency’s operations of the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour. The meeting followed up on the progress of the MOU to send Thai workers to work in Saudi Arabia and push the draft Quality of Life Development and Protection Promotion for Informal Workers Act B.E. Permanent Secretary of Labour Commences Training to Develop Civil Servants at Operational and Experienced Levels

On March 14, 2022, at 08.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, presided over the training course commencement for the development of civil servants at the professional level (financial and accounting officers) of the Ministry of Labour. The occasion occurred at the Human Resources Management Division’s meeting room, 10th floor, Ministry of Labour. The training aims to develop the potential of civil servants at the operational/experienced level who are finance and accounting officers of the Ministry of Labour to have knowledge and understanding in finance and accounting. This involves laws, regulations, audits, and building the necessary skills. The training starts today until March 18, 2022, for a total of 5 days or 31 hours of training. It targets civil servants at operational/professional levels in finance and accounting from the Provincial Labour Office in every province for 76 people. MOL Organizes Blood Donation Activity “Volunteers Donating Blood From One Person to Many Recipients”

          On March 11, 2022, at 10.30 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives paid a visit to encourage blood donors in the blood donation activity “volunteers donating blood from one person to many recipients with love and unity to develop the quality of life for the workers.” The visit aimed to encourage blood donors to donate blood regularly every three months to receive enough donated blood for patients across the country. This is the first blood donation activity in 2022 by the Ministry of Labour in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour’s Housewives Association and the National Blood Center, Thai Red Cross Society. On March 3, 2022, at 10.30 hours, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud, along with executives and civil servants from agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Surin Province, visited house No. 88, Moo 5, Ban Du Thong, Ramdom Subdistrict, Lamduan District, Surin Province, to meet and support the family Ms. Yingluck Wongta, a Thai worker working in Ukraine who faced problems amid the unrest situation. They will return to Thailand on March 5, 2022. Labour Minister Concern About Flooding in Southern Provinces Advises Agencies to Work Together to Provide Urgent Support

          On February 28, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin spoke about the flooding in the southern region. Information from the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation as of February 28, 2022, at 6.00 hours, reported that from February 25-28, 2022, heavy rains caused flash floods, flowing wild water and water overflowing the banks, resulting in flooding the flooding in seven southern provinces, namely Narathiwat, Yala, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Pattani, Songkhla, and Trang.           On February 28, 2022, at 08.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, presided over the opening ceremony of the training program to enhance moral and ethics standards for personnel under the Ministry of Labour. Export Sector Appreciates Government’s Factory Sandbox Project for Solving COVID-19 Issues and Promoting 17% Growth Valued 2.71Bn USD, the Highest in 11 Years

           On February 24, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin revealed that the COVID-19 situation had impacted the country’s tourism and service sectors, which are an important source of income. But at the same time, the export sector with over 2 million workers in 4 sectors has grown, namely in food, medical equipment, automotive and electronic parts, which is the result of implementing the Factory Sandbox project by the Ministry of Labour, following government policy. It has supported export businesses on continuous employment, and entrepreneurs can continue their business.
