            On April 7, 2022, at 10.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, received 1,000 bags of cement from Mr. Mongkol Pornchuenchuwong, Director of Government Affairs, Thai Cement (Lampang) Co., Ltd. and his team, The occasion took place at the reception room, 7th floor, Ministry of Labour. MOL Employee Welfare Fund Committee Meets

          On March 30, 2022, at 09.30 hours, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud, chaired the Employee Welfare Fund Committee Meeting No. 3/2022 at the Prof. Nikom Chandravithu meeting room, 5th floor, Department of Labour Protection and Welfare. PM Pleased with Labour Minister’s Negotiations with UAE Minister of Human Resources and Emiratization to Expand the Thai Labour Market in Dubai

          On March 30, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin joined bilateral discussions following an invitation by Dr. Abdulrahman Addulmannan Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratization. The discussions were on cooperation to expand the Thai labour market in the United Arab Emirates at the North Hall Dubai Exhibition Center. The discussion followed the Labour Minister and delegation’s visit to the United Arab Emirates between December 6 to 11, 2021. They paid a visit to Dr. Abdulrahman Addulmannan Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratization, on the occasion of taking on a new position on December 8, 2021, which took place at the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates. Labour Minister Visits Dubai Joining Thai Delegation for the 8th World Government Summit

          On March 30, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong, and his delegation joined the 8th World Government Summit 2022. The attendance followed the invitation letter by the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Application. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Mr. Supattanapong Punmeechaow’s led the Thai delegation. PM Cares for Thai Workers Abroad; Labour Minister Assigns Spokesperson and Team to Visit Thai Workers and Expand the Labour Market in Dubai

          On March 30, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, as Head of the Thailand team, with the Department of Employment’s Director-General, Mr. Pairoj Chotikasathian and delegation, to meet and encourage Thai workers working at Centara Mirage Beach Resort, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this hotel, 59 Thai workers work in various positions such as Front Office, Waiter/Waitress, HR, and Spa Therapists. The Labour Department of the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi met with the company to expand the labour market. The hotel requires 25 Thai workers to be recruited directly into different positions. The vacancies include 14 Waiter/Waitress positions with a monthly salary of 1,350 Dirham, 2 Restaurant Supervisors with a monthly salary of 2,500 Dirham, 2 Bartenders with a monthly salary of 1,800-1,900 Dirham, 1-2 Commis 1/Commis 2/Commis 3 positions with a monthly salary of 1,800/1,600/1,400 Dirham respectively. MOL Drives Cooperation to Promote Education and Employment for Students and Workers of All Levels in Udon Thani

          On March 29, 2022, Advisory Board Member to the Minister of Labour, Mr. Natthawat Teeratathamrong, joined the meeting to clarify the implementation of education promotion and employment opportunities for students and workers of all levels. Saudi Arabia’s Chamber of Commerce Commends Skills Thai Workers, Supporting the Import of Workers to Promote Trade and Investment to Drive Two Economies

          On March 28, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, the Minister’s Advisor Sergeant Ekayossingh Liamlert, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, the Department of Employment’s Director-General, Mr. Pairoj Chotikasathian, and delegation, met with Mr. Ajlan bin Abdulaziz Al-Ajlan, President of the Saudi Arabian Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce in Riyadh. MOL Forms 5-Year Government Action Plan for Human Resources in a Drive Towards Being a Ministry of Economy

            On March 28, 2022, at 08.30 hours, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mrs. Bubpha Phanpen presided over a workshop to formulate the 5-year Government Action Plan for Human Resource Development (2023 – 2027) by the Ministry of Labour. Labour Minister Joins Economic Team Announcing Measures to Support the Workforce and People from Ukraine-Russian Conflict Impacts

          On March 24, 2022, at the Government Houses, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin joined the press conference on measures to help people amid the Ukraine-Russia conflict. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Mr. Supattanapong Punmeechaow, presided over the press conference. Mr. Suchart said that following the conflict, Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha has concerns for the people and all workers. Therefore, each agency has to be tasked to formulate measures to help the people as soon as possible. Under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, measures have been set to help reduce the impact on the people amid the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and reduce the people’s expenses by reducing contributions for both employers and employers insured persons for three months. 11.2 million insured persons under Section 33 will reduce their contributions from 5 percent to 1 percent. For example, if calculated on a base salary of 15,000 Baht, from the original contribution of 750 Baht, it would be reduced to 150 Baht.
