3 Thai agencies in Brunei join hand to improve Thai students’ capacity

The Office of Labour Affairs in Brunei notifies the progress of the MOU on education development among Thai educational institutes with entrepreneurs in Brunei.
    Mr. Anachak Sutayon, Minister Counselor of Labour of the Office of Labour Affairs in Brunei, reveals that the Office of Labour Affairs in Brunei proceeded in the line with the policy of Mr. Chalermchai Srion, Minister of Labour, to heighten Thai labours’ skill by enhancing their capacity and improving their skills in order to increase their competence in labour competition with other regional countries as well as to prepare labours to supply in the shortage field. In this regard, 3 Thai government agencies in Brunei, Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of Education join hand to improve Thai students’ capacity. On Monday 27th September 2010 between 9-12 am, there will be the signing ceremony of the MOU among Khon Kaen Industrial and Community Education College, Khon Kaen College of Agriculture and Technology, and 6 entrepreneurs in Brunei at the Royal Thai Embassy, Bandar Seri Begawan. H.E. Mr. Phithak Phrombubpha, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, will preside over the ceremony which sees Director of SEAMEO VOCTECH, Dean of linguistics of Universiti Brunei Darussalam, President and executive directors of the Thai People Association in Brunei, and Thai entrepreneurs etc. attended. It aims to support vocational education students and Thai students improve their vocational skill with workplaces in Brunei in 4 career fields such as mechanics, agricultures, Finances, and Computer Graphic. The signing of the MOU this time initiates cooperation between Thai educational institutions and workplaces in Brunei and paves a way for further cooperation in the future. Thai students can come and have a vocational training in order to obtain vocational skill, real work experience, and be employed or learn to become entrepreneurs in the future. There will be concrete creations of workforce, labour force, and educational development among ASEAN countries.
