Assistant to Labour Minister receives Letters from Confederation of Thai Labour and Social Security Network for Working People

            On October 25, 2021, at 13.30 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong chaired the meeting and received a letter from Mr. Manas Kosol, Chairman of the Confederation of Thai Labour (CTL) and Chairman of the Social Security Network for Working People, and his team, to help employees in case of layoffs during the Covid-19 pandemic on various issues. Mr. Surachai said that the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha and the Ministry of Labour under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan have been monitoring the labour situation all along and are concerned about employees who have been terminated. Therefore, he instructed the Ministry of Labour to continue following up and help employees receive benefits and protection under the law.

            On the same occasion, Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong chaired the meeting and received a letter from Mr. Manit Promkarikul, Chairman of the Federation of Thailand Automobile Workers Union and his team, about assisting employees on various issues, such as requesting the establishment of an employee risk insurance fund and removing taxation from the last payment for retiring or leaving employees. The meeting took place at the Chatumongkol room, 6th floor, Ministry of Labour.
