On October 29, 2021, at 14.00 hours, Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong chaired the meeting to discuss remedial measures of Central Group Co., Ltd. with Dr. Chatchai Norasethaporn, Senior Executive Vice President of Education, Society, and Sports Development Department, Central Group Co., Ltd., and his team. The meeting discussed the progress of hourly employee employment law and the payment for hourly wages, the policies and directions on employment post-COVID-19, the demand for labour, and the government’s approval to import migrant workers through MOUs. The meeting also discussed social security and the direction for coverage for the third dose of vaccinations for the people and risk group employees, the support on the law for people with disabilities (Article 33), which currently required a replacement for employees who have resigned within 45 days, to be extended to 60 days or as appropriate (in case of not finding a replacement within 45 days, there will be a fine and additional money). The meeting took place at the Mitmaitri Room 2, 5th floor, Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Ministry of Labour.
