On Sunday 6 May 2012, officials from Office of Labour Affairs of the Royal Thai Embassy in Germany led by Mrs. Suchada Cheecharoen, Minister Counsellor (Labor Affairs), along with labour volunteers attended a ceremony to celebrate 150th anniversary of Thai-German diplomatic relations at Thai Park in Berlin.
They held mobile labour service and volunteer activities, including indigenous Thai massage and western style spa at the ceremony organized by Thai communities in Germany with support of the Royal Thai Embassy in Berlin.
The main objectives of the activities were to showcase capability of Thai workers and Thai indigenous knowledge including Thai massage to German people; to promote their popularity, and to boost diplomatic relations between Bangkok and Berlin.
At the ceremony, the Office of Labour Affairs also distributed brochures and leaflets about its activities to visitors. These activities include:
1) Task to promote and expand Thai labour market, covering quality of lives promotion program for Thai workers, western style spa training, and Thai cook training.
2) Task to disseminate news and information, and to check and approve contract.
3) Task to protect Thai workers’ rights, covering visits to meet Thai workers in various cities, and providing assistance and advice on work rights.
4) Task to promote workers’ quality of lives and foster unity of Thai workers
