Deadly Clashes Heat Up on Lebanese-Israeli Border

The border tensions brewing for weeks on the Lebanese-Israel border boiled over 3 August into a heavy exchange of cross-border fire. In the afternoon, Israeli forces were cutting down small trees near Kibbutz Misgav Am on the side of the border causing Lt. Col. Dov Harari, batallion commander of the eastern Lebanese sector was killed and 1 Israel was shot in a surprise Lebanese cross-border attack. 
             There was an exchange of gunfire and an Israel tank fired causing 1 Lebanese journalist, and 1 Israel soldier were killed in Israel’s heavy retaliation for the attack. This is the most serious since the end of the 2006 war. There are no Thai workers working in Kibbutz Misgav Am, Labour Affairs has contacted Thai workers working in neighboring area and found that all of them have been well spirited. Labour Affairs also warn them to be cautious of the situation and strictly prohibited entering into the intense area because it might causes Israel troops’ misunderstanding.
