Department of Labor Protection and Welfare shows safety 10 months and the employer has been fined more than 24 million.

          Mr. Ananchai Uthaiwattanachep, The Director General of the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare revealed the results of the drive of Safety Thailand, under the policy of H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo, Minister of Labor, in the fiscal year 2018, starting from October 1, 2017 until July 31, 2018 for 10 months. Workers’ protection has been monitored and enforced. Safety inspectors have visited more than 15,302 establishments, covering more than 1.2 million workers, and prosecuted by comparing offenders under the Safety, Occupational Health and Environment Act. The total number of 205 cases was 24.78 million baht.
          Director of the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare said that in addition to law enforcement promoting and creating awareness through activities such as building awareness through the Center for Development of Safety Knowledge, the promotion of safe educational projects, and the participation of 898 educational institutions as well as establishing a safety network through volunteer safety officers to monitor the accident. Welfare and Work Protection aims to ensure that all businesses are aware of the importance of safety. Collaboration in the prevention and improvement of safety and health in workplace is a culture of work safety and is an important mechanism in reducing the rate of workplace hazards for the quality of life of all workers.
