Deputy Labour Minister and Huawei Partner to Provide Free Application Development Courses

          The Ministry of Labour joined together with Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd., to organize training for the second batch of participants on creating and developing applications, which is free of charge. The training will select a group of JAVA professionals to meet the needs of the digital age.

          On September 6, 2021, Deputy Labour Minister Prof. Narumol Pinyosinwat reported that the Ministry of Labour’s Department of Skill Development (DSD), by the Digital Skill Development Academy (DISDA) joined forces with Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd. to organize a training course on “Creating and developing applications” through the online training room (Facebook Group). The second round of training will be held from September 24 to November 24, 2021. Interested people can register for the training free of charge. Participants will spend 48 hours on the training. The course focuses on digital technology skill development that will help the workforce gain better knowledge, competence, and skills to keep up with technological changes and keep aligned with the demands of the labour market. Participants with computer and java language skills can use the knowledge gained from this training course to create and develop applications on the Android operating system and upload them to the AppGallery and PlayStore so that the public can use the application services more conveniently and comprehensively.

          Those who have passed the training course will be able to create and develop applications on the Android operating system efficiently and be responsive to users’ needs. There is also an opportunity for monetization through advertising on applications. Participants can extend their body of knowledge as program developers in various ways, such as programming that works on a general computer or a web server using a web browser program. Programming can also help connect the work of various systems in large organizations. The use cases respond to the way of life and work in the digital era. In addition, participants will receive a certificate from the Department of Skill Development as a guarantee of their abilities, including a certificate from Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd., if the company’s assessment criteria are met. This is considered a certification of technology knowledge standard that can be proudly applied to a career in the field, as the company is a leading global ICT solution service organization.

          Those interested in attending the training must be 18 years of age or older, have computer skills, and know the Java Programming Language. Prospective participants must be ready and able to practice throughout the course.
