Content Description

The Deputy Labour Minister reported that companies participating in the Zero Accident Campaign activities are increasing every year and shared hope that all sectors will be a part of reducing accidents in the workplace.
Deputy Labour Minister Prof. Narumon Pinyosinwat revealed that the Zero Accident Campaign 2020, organized by the Thailand Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (Public Organization) or TOSH, is held annually. This year enters its 20th year, bringing principles and concepts from the United States and Japan to adapt to Thailand’s context to promote companies to join the effort in preventing accidents in the workplace. The initiative is based on the idea that accidents involving work-related causes can be prevented by reducing accidents in the workplace to zero. Success can be achieved through continuous planning and management of occupational safety, health, and the environment. It also contributes to a culture of safety, to provide workers with safety and good health in line with government policy and the national safety and health strategy under the Safety Thailand project, with a goal of sustainable reduction of occupational accidents and diseases.
The Deputy Labour Minister said that TOSH reported that between 2019 and 2020, the number of companies participating and receiving certification increased by 23.72%, demonstrating the importance of safety and reducing occupational accidents’ statistics to zero. In 2021, it will promote activities to more companies through TOSH’s Live platform, promoting and encouraging older companies that had participated in activities to continue to do so. There will be more channels for SMEs to participate in activities, with the invitation of lecturers and safety personnel, or persons responsible for a project that has received a high level of honour, to learn about workplace safety standards in the workplace, for further information for other agencies.
Organizations interested in participating in the Zero Accident Campaign 2020 with TOSH can view details and apply at www.tosh.or.th or ask for more information at 0 2448 9111.
