Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Discuses Additional Benefits for Terminated Insurers with CTL

          Today (March 9, 2020) at 10.00 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol assigned Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Ms. Aumpun Thuvavit to chair a meeting with Chairman of the Confederation of Thai Labour (CTL) Mr. Manat Kosol, Chairman of the Social Security Network and Labour Organizations, which met to monitor the progress after submission of proposals for labour issues to the Labour Minister. The issues included reform on increasing benefits for insurers in the case of employees (insurers) being laid off, resigned or terminated from employment, regardless of the circumstances. The request was for such cases to receive unemployment benefits at the same rate of 75 percent of wages for a 180-day payment period, at the same rate, from August 14, 2019. The meeting took place at the Permanent Secretary of Labour’s meeting room, 7th floor, Ministry of Labour.
