Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Meets with Director-General of the Thailand Trade and Economic Office in Taipei to Strengthen Labour Cooperation

September 25, 2025 – Mr. Santi Nantasuwan, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, together with Ms. Bunyawee Khaipan, the Ministry of Labour’s Chief Inspector-General, Ms. Kanchana Poolkaew, and Ms. Jirapa Boonrat, the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-Generals, Mr. Krirkrai Nasamoyon, Legal Advisor, and senior executives of the Ministry of Labour, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Narong Boonsathianwong, Director-General of the Thailand Trade and Economic Office, Taipei. The delegation also discussed labour-related matters. Mr. Thossaphon Sumanon, Minister Counsellor (Labour) at the Office of Thai Labour Affairs in Taipei, also attended the meeting, which was held at the Thailand Trade and Economic Office in Taipei.

Mr. Santi stated that the meeting focused on key issues, including expanding employment opportunities for Thai workers in the service sector and skilled labour groups, encouraging Thai workers abroad to enhance and upgrade their skills during their employment, and organising cultural promotion activities to foster pride and strengthen connections among Thai workers in Taiwan.

Mr.Santi added that the Ministry of Labour is committed to advancing close cooperation with the Thailand Trade and Economic Office, Taipei, and all relevant agencies, with the aim of protecting workers’ rights, creating job opportunities, and improving the quality of life of Thai workers to ensure greater security and sustainability.
