Entrepreneurs Thank PM and Labour Minister for Resolving Labour Shortage and Maintaining Employment

          On November 4, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin welcomed the Chairman of the Employers’ Confederation of Thailand, Dr. Taweekiat Rongsawat, on the occasion of leading representatives of the employers’ confederations, employees’ confederations, and entrepreneurs who hire foreign workers. The meeting discussed ways to resolve labour shortages, especially guidelines for importing foreign workers to work in Thailand legally to comply with the needs of businesses and support the economic recovery after the country’s opening from November 1, following the government’s policy. It also covered implementing projects to promote and maintain employment levels for SME entrepreneurs for the business sector to move forward. The meeting took place in the meeting room on the 5th floor of the Ministry of Labour. Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong, Secretariat to the Labour Minister Mr. Suthep Chitayawong, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives also joined the occasion.
          On this occasion, the Chairman of the Employers’ Confederation of Thailand presented a flowers basket to thank and encourage Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin for helping foreign workers to register legally as well as taking care of SME entrepreneurs in terms of social welfare and as social security, such as assisting with remedial measures for insured persons under Section 33, 39 and 40.
          Chairman of the Employers’ Confederation of Thailand, Dr. Taweekiat Rongsawat, said that today, he led the labor leaders, representatives of employers’ confederations, employees’ confederations, employers’ associations, employees’ unions and entrepreneurs hiring foreign labour to support the Labour Minister for his continuous work in assisting employers and employees. Therefore, he came to support Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin today to continue to work for the benefit of the workforce.
          Vice President of the Employers’ Confederation of Thailand, Ms. Issei Phakhansawat, thanked Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha who has given good things in times of crisis to entrepreneurs, to support them with production for exports and the distribution of employment. Today, they met the Labour Minister to show appreciation for his work for supporting SME entrepreneurs and small businesses to survive the Covid-19 crisis.
          Meanwhile, Mr. Shin Min Bo from the MOU TIC (Myanmar) club said that today, he came to show appreciation to the Labour Minister for caring for migrant workers to have equal rights with Thai people.
