Gen. Adul joins hands with entrepreneurs to send labor back home and return to work safely during Songkran

          Today (10 April 2018) H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo, Minister of Labor presided over the opening ceremony. “Deliver the Safe Home of Songkran Festival” to join the campaign to raise awareness of safe travel to employees and reduce road accidents and accidents during Songkran Festival at Big Star Co., Ltd., Bangkhuntien. The company has been working hard to provide the best service to the employees of Big Star Co., Ltd., which employs about 3,000 people. The government policy on employee safety has been put into practice as a good example. The government and the Ministry of Labor have given priority to the brothers to return home safely during Songkran. The Ministry of Labor cooperated with entrepreneurs. Transport Security Co., Ltd. and related organizations organized the activity “Deliver home workers safely during the Songkran Festival”. 1) Ask the employer to hire an employee to plan travel. Checking the car before the journey, do not drink alcohol, do not drive faster than the law. 2) Ask for cooperation, arrange transportation for employees to facilitate labor to travel from factory to passenger terminal. 3) Instruct employers to alert employees to prepare insurance before departure and carry ID cards to help the workers get Social Security benefits in the event of an emergency, without having to make a reservation from a hospital nationwide, with a hotline 1506. 24-hour helpdesk 4) allow foreign workers to prepare documents that must be presented to immigration officers and police officers to return to the country of origin to participate in the Songkran festival and come back to Thailand from 5-30 April 2018.

 

          Gen. Adul said that the Ministry of Labor also organized a series of civil servants to check the car and motorcycle free 78 total nationwide. They will provide check-in service for cars, tires, distillation, brakes, clutches, oil changes, light bulbs and other components, massage services, snacks and refreshments for people traveling on Songkran, main and secondary lines with heavy traffic and a lot of tourists travel to. The service is available from April 11 – 17, It is expected that more than 4 million Thai workers and over 200,000 foreign workers will return home. The Ministry of Labor and related agencies have facilitated the journey to ensure that all workers return to work safely.
