On April 4 2018, H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo, Minister of Labor presided over the opening ceremony, “The first center to work and the end of employment” in Mukdahan province with Dr. Khamphang Saisomphang, Minister of Labor and Social Welfare and board, Mr. Vivat Tanghong, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labor, Mr. Anurak Tossarat, Director General of the Department of Employment, was honored this time. The Minister of Labor said the government attaches importance to foreign workers coming to work in Thailand. The Cabinet approved on July 26 2017 to set up the first center to work and terminate employment in the first three provinces of Tak, Sa Kaew and Nong Khai. Mukdahan province is the fourth province to provide training for foreign workers to work in Thailand before working with employers.
H.E. Police General Adul added that the first center to work and terminate the employment as a place to screen the labor before allowing to work in Thailand to prevent human trafficking and migrant workers from importing under the MOU on working and living in Thailand. It is also a waiting room for migrant workers to come to work in the case of the employer to return to work and return to the country when the employment termination. It is a coordinating center between employers and migrant workers. It is also a work permit (E-Work Permit).
Currently there are many Lao workers living in Savannakhet, and when they come to work in Thailand, they must travel through Nong Khai province. (Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge – Vientiane City). It may not be convenient to travel to Nong Khai province. The Ministry of Labor, by the Department of Employment, has added another center in Mukdahan to facilitate the Lao brothers to travel to work in Thailand. Employers and enterprises that employ foreign workers are encouraged to build confidence in the employment of foreign workers in accordance with international standards.
