On April 23, 2019, at 09.30 hours, Labour Minister, H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo along with the ministry’s management presented money from the Compensation Fund and Social Security Fund to the families of the workers who died from the fire at CentralWorld Department Store on April 10, 2019, at the Labour Minister’s meeting room, 6th Floor, Ministry of Labour. The incident resulted in two deaths of workers in the social security system, whom both died at the scene, and 15 injured people from dangers from work. Today, the Labour Minister presented money from Compensation Fund and Social Security Fund for the 2 deaths to the family of Mr. Sakchai Chareonlarp, who received funeral assistance of 33,000 Baht, compensation in the case of death of 1,680,000 Baht and old pension contributions of 131,631.20 Baht, totaling 1,844,631.20 Baht, and the family of Mr. Arthit Khamsai who will receive funeral assistance of 33,000 Baht, compensation in case of death of 1,680,000 Baht and old pension contributions of 98,309.06 Baht, totaling 1,811,309.06 Baht. For all 15 injured employees, the Social Security Office in the responsible area has taken care of them and explained the eligible benefits.
