Japanese ambassador met Gen. Adul to promote Thai workers to practice in Japan.

         On 28 February 2018, Minister of Labor, H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo, welcomed HE Mr. Shiro Sadoshima, Ambassador of Japan to Thailand and the visiting delegation to work on the improvement of labor protection laws and the preparation of technical cooperation memoranda in Japan (Memorandum of Cooperation on Technical Intern Training Program) at The Ministry of Labor, 6th Floor, Ministry of Labor By discussing with Mr. Shiro, Ministry of Labor is very pleased to have partnered with Japan to work on a variety of labor projects. Japan is a strong cultural nation, capable of developing technology, caring for people with disabilities and employing the elders effectively. It is also a country that many Thai labors work in because of good welfare and protection and cultural traditions are not very different. There are also over 1,900 Japanese establishments in Thailand. There are more than 500,000 Thai workers employed.

 Lt. Col. Adulay added that. For the discussion on the Technical Internship Program in Japan (MOC), it is currently under consideration. Since the Japanese government has changed the law on the implementation of technical internships for foreigners and the protection of technical interns. The Ministry of Labor must carefully consider the law and practice together with relevant agencies to benefit both Thai and Japanese workers.
