On September 14, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin welcomed Mr. Koji Nakai, Chairman of Aisin Asia Pacific (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and Japanese investors, who met with the Labour Minister to thank the government and the Ministry of Labour for helping the company’s employees to receive vaccinations under the Factory Sandbox program. They also gave thanks for the social activities and donations of consumer goods where the Ministry of Labour has supported the workforce affected by COVID-19. The meeting discussed ways to expand the Factory Sandbox project to more companies of Japanese investors, especially in Chonburi, Rayong, Chachoengsao, and Prachinburi provinces. Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong, Secretariat to the Labour Minister Mr. Suthep Chitayawong, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics) Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives joined the occasion at the Chatumongkol room, 6th floor, Ministry of Labour. Mr. Suchart said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha and the Ministry of Labour under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan is concerned about investors and the workforce. Therefore, the government has important policies to implement measures to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19 in factories. The Ministry of Labour has implemented the Factory Sandbox project, which has the heart of examination, treatment, control, and supervision by operating in a manner of “Health Economics” to build employee immunity and confidence in driving the economy, to help the nation overcome the COVID-19 crisis together.
Mr. Kochi also spoke about the feelings of employees of AW (Thailand) Co., Ltd. after participating in the Factory Sandbox project. Employees feel more confident in their work when they are vaccinated. They feel proud and more secure, reducing their risk of infection. It has built morale and encouragement for employees. Therefore, he thanked the government and the Ministry of Labour for having created this project to produce good quality products, promote confidence in customers, and increase the company’s productivity.
