January 16, 2026 – Ms. Trinuch Thienthong, Minister of Labour, presided over the opening of JOB EXPO THAILAND 2026, the country’s largest job fair of the year, under the theme “every job, for every lifestyle.” The event was honoured by Pol. Lt. Col. Wannapong Kotcharak, Permanent Secretary of Labour, and Acting Sub-Lieutenant Somsak Prommadam, the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General. Mr. Sibmuenchai Phothisin, the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General, Mr. Krirkrai Nasamoyon, Legal Advisor, Mr. Nattawut Phatprayoon, Labour Academic Advisor, Mr. Sakdinart Sontisakyothin, Assistant to the Permanent Secretary of Labour, and senior executives of the Ministry of Labour. Mr. Somchai Maruksriwan, Director-General of the Department of Employment, delivered the event report at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, Halls 5–6, Khlong Toei District, Bangkok.
Ms. Trinuch Thienthong, Minister of Labour, stated that the Ministry of Labour places great importance on driving the national economy by managing the workforce both quantitatively and qualitatively, alongside developing skills in line with labour market and industrial demand. The Ministry also promotes workplace safety, the protection of rights, and fair access to welfare to sustainably enhance workers’ quality of life. In this regard, the Ministry of Labour has a key mission to reduce social inequality, create employment opportunities, and build stable incomes for people in all groups. As such, JOB EXPO THAILAND 2026 has been organised under the theme “every job, for every lifestyle,” creating a space of opportunity for Thais of all ages, occupations, and lifestyles to access jobs that truly match their potential.
Mr. Somchai Maruksriwan, Director-General of the Department of Employment, said that JOB EXPO THAILAND 2026 brings together job vacancies and activities tailored to people of all age groups. These include résumé-writing clinics for students, full-time jobs, part-time jobs, and supplementary income opportunities for working-age people; consultations with well-known franchise owners; as well as job positions suitable for older persons and persons with disabilities, to ensure equal access to the labour market for all under the concept “every job, for every lifestyle.” The event has also received strong support from employers, network partners from both the public and private sectors, and leading educational institutions, jointly driving employment opportunities. The event featured six main activities, as follows:
- An exhibition on the royal duties of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother.
- An exhibition by the Ministry of Labour showcasing its roles, policies, and public services, including consultations on labour law, workplace safety, and social security benefits.
- Activities promoting employment both domestically and overseas, creating opportunities for jobseekers to meet leading Thai employers, and providing online job registration services from more than 200 employers, with over 500,000 domestic and overseas job vacancies, including jobs for older persons and persons with disabilities; demonstrations of freelance occupations; exhibitions and sales of leading franchise products; groups offering work-from-home opportunities; and freelance occupation groups for supplementary income.
- Labour market readiness activities for soon-to-be graduates, with over 10 leading educational institutions providing knowledge sharing, advice, and guidance on education and career pathways, including career readiness assessments and career counselling clinics.
- Skills development activities to support industrial growth, with more than 18 leading upskill and reskill providers offering knowledge and insights on the importance of skills development for employment and improved quality of life.
- Main stage activities featuring talks and techniques related to careers and employment, delivered by experienced and successful professionals, including well-known figures with large followings, throughout all three days of the event.
