The occasion took place at the Phak Hai District Office, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. Pak Hai District Chief Mr. Rattaphol Thurapan reported the water situation and brought the group to board the barge to deliver the mobile restrooms and relief bags to the flood victims. Mrs. Thiwalrat said that Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha and the Ministry of Labour under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan are concerned about the people affected by the flood situation. Therefore, he instructed all agencies to help the flood victims according to their mission. Today, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned her and the spokesperson to visit Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province to deliver the mobile restrooms and survival bags to alleviate the suffering of flood-affected community members.
Mrs. Thiwalrat continued that the mobile restrooms by the Ministry of Labour’s Department of Skill Development had received support from the private sector, such as Home Product Center PCL. After the water recedes, the Department of Skill Development will prepare training courses to educate flood victims, such as a course on repairing household equipment and appliances, so that the victims can repair their household equipment or appliances that have been affected by the flood. It will help trainees to have the knowledge and save costs, as they would not need to send the appliances for repair or buy a new one. It will also prepare training for small engine repair technicians in agriculture, masonry-plastering, and tiling, for example. The courses take only 3-5 days of training. For more information, contact the Skill Development Institutes and Skill Development Offices in the area, anywhere across the country.
