Mrs. Thiwalrat said that the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, has always had the policy to help employers, employees, and businesses to reduce unemployment and support the private sector to continue their business. Combined with the government’s policy to reopen the country, the tourism sector has grown with the return of tourists. The business sector has recovered quickly. Employment has increased, and businesses have a higher demand for labour. Therefore, the Ministry of Labour organized today’s event to increase opportunities for unemployed people to apply and interview directly with many employers/establishments at once. Job applicants can select vacancies that match their knowledge and abilities. As for employers, establishments get employees with skills that match their work. They conducted job interviews via Zoom to move workers systematically between provinces where many people are looking for work, but not enough vacancies are available, with provinces with positions to support but lack workers.
“The career fair and workforce meeting event “Creating Petchaburi People’s Dreams Towards Careers >>> Having a Job” today is in response to government policies that focus on human development. It encourages all worker groups to return to the employment system, to have a job, career, income, and good quality of life, to drive the country’s economy to create stability, prosperity, and sustainability in the future,” said the Labour Minister’s Advisor.
