Labour Minister Assigns Advisor to Give Encouragement and Gifts to Support Ill Insured Persons in Nong Chumphon Subdistrict, Khao Yoi District, Phetchaburi Province

          On August 3, 2022, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, to visit the area to support the sick insured persons in Nong Chumphon Subdistrict, Khao Yoi District, Phetchaburi Province. In this regard, the Social Security Office’s Secretary-General, Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, assigned the Social Security Office’s Inspector-General Mrs. Marasri Jairangsee, the Phetchaburi Provincial Social Security Officer Mrs. Rassamee Sujato, the Samut Songkhram Provincial Social Security Officer Mr. Wichai Chanboon, and heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Phetchaburi Province joined the visit. The visit aimed to help the two sick insured persons to donate consumer products to the insured family to use in their daily lives.

          The Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, reported that the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, is concerned and gives importance to insured employees who suffer from danger or illness, taking care of the insured persons closely in all aspects. The Ministry of Labour’s Social Security Office is ready to help monitor the quality of life of the insured persons before and after treatment, to create morale and encouragement to the insured persons, and provide confidence in the efficient medical service system, which is an important policy to satisfying insured persons. Today, the Labour Minister assigned her, the Social Security Office’s Inspector-General Mrs. Marasri Jairangsee, and heads of government agencies in Phetchaburi Province to visit the area to give gifts to support ill insured persons in Nong Chumphon Subdistrict, Khao Yoi District, Phetchaburi Province. The first of the two cases was Ms. Manthanee Meephol, an insured person under Section 39, suffering from colon cancer. The mother and aunt of the insured persons are insured persons under Section 40, also been diagnosed with cancer, whereas their child was suffering from thalassemia and abnormal kidney disease. The Phetchaburi Provincial Social Security Office advised them to apply as insured persons under Secon 40 and shared information on the benefits in case of illness, including the case of claiming compensation for lack of income and savings in case of old age. The second person was Mr. Dee Chuphan, a Section 38 insured person and a former company employee in Samut Songkhram Province. He is currently unable to work. He resigned from his job on July 1, 2022, due to a stroke that caused a blood vessel in his brain to rupture. He is bedridden and now getting help from the Samut Songkhram Provincial Social Security Office to consider being a person with a disability to receive benefits in the event of disability.

          The Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, continued that the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin shared his concern and encouragement to both families. She thanked the medical personnel from Ban Nong Pho Chumphon Health Promotion Hospital, who cooperated in facilitating medical services, including the treatment of sick insured persons effectively. They have built confidence in the medical service system, following the Labour Minister’s policy that takes care of insured persons like family and the government’s policy to leave no one behind.
