Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned his Advisor to visit Ratchaburi to deliver policies, monitor the performance of the Ministry of Labour’s missions, and visit professional groups to strengthen social security for informal workers.
On October 30, 2020, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Advisor to the Labour Minister Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan chaired the meeting with heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Ratchaburi Province to deliver policies and operational guidelines. The event took place at Meeting Room H 201, Ratchaburi Institute for Skill Development 4, Muang, Ratchaburi. Advisory Board Member to the Labour Minister Mrs. Thienrat Navamawat and the heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Ratchaburi also participate in the event. The Labour Minister’s Advisor said that Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned her and the advisory team to Ratchaburi province today to monitor the Ministry of Labour’s performance as well as listen to various problems. She said that the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha, has given importance to solving the problems of workers, employers, and the general public and enhancing social security for informal workers.
Mrs. Thiwalrat also delivered policies to resolve problems sustainably by supporting employment and legislation to promote and improve informal workers’ quality of life. The efforts also aim to promote labour relations and create employment incentives by upgrading worker skills to meet international standards. It also supports credit measures to promote employment and occupational safety and promote social security projects throughout Thailand to independent workers. The policies also include promoting insured persons’ applications under Section 40 and following up on the implementation of the new employment promotion program for new graduates by the public and private sectors (Co-Payment).
“Please work together to monitor the labour situation closely. I ask that all provincial workers, as representatives of the regional ministries, act as the center of action plans to provide labour information at the provincial level, working with provincial agencies and network partners including labour volunteers, which is the link between the Ministry of Labour’s services to the community,” concluded Mrs. Thiwalrat.
In the afternoon, the Labour Minister’s Advisor followed up on the implementation of policy measures to promote, protect, develop and build social security for informal workers, comprising the Kok Mat Handicraft Group, at Moo 4, Don Kra Bueng, Photharam, and the Hua Maid Group Community Enterprise at 31/24 Moo 5, Berkprai, Ban Pong, Ratchaburi.
