Labour Minister Assigns Assistant to Enhance Technicians in Phuket Hotels Towards Revival from Covid-19

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Deputy Labour Minister to visit and encourage trainees under the “professional technician management” course, supporting the services, hotels, and tourism sectors to recover after Covid-19 eases.
          On November 2, 2020, the Labour Minister assigned Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong, to deliver a speech in his visit to encourage the trainees under the “professional technician management” course at the Pullman Phuket Panwa Beach Resort, Phuket. The Department of Skill Development’s Director-General Mr. Tawat Benchatikul, and the Director of the Phuket Skill Development Institute 21 also participated in the visit. The Labour Minister’s Assistant said that the government, led by Prime Minister and Defense Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha, gives importance to developing the national economy by promoting and developing labour skills. Today, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned him to meet with the “professional technician management” training course participants. He showed the admiration and shared words of encouragement to everyone and said that hotel technicians’ skills development is an extremely important mechanism in overseeing the maintenance of the hotel, including lighting, water systems, and air conditioning systems, to be used continuously. He emphasized that if hotels have knowledgeable chief mechanics and skills in managing technicians work systematically and effectively, then the hotel services will be done efficiently, promoting customer satisfaction, reducing complaints, losses, and operating costs.
          “I would like to admire the Department of Skill Development by the Phuket Institute for Skill Development 21 and related private sectors which have jointly supported hotel establishments, directly affected from Covid-19, in developing and upgrading the knowledge and capabilities of the chief hotel engineers”, Mr. Surachai concluded.
