Labour Minister Assigns Permanent Secretary to Join Deputy PM Delegation to Support Flood Victims

          On October 14, 2021, at 09.00 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong to join Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan’s delegation to visit the area and inspect government operations in Khon Kaen. The Ministry of Labour’s Chief Inspector-General Mr. Phuma Thammakul, also joined the occasion to receive a briefing on water management in Khon Kaen Province, an overview of the water management according to the ONWR’s measures, the plan to solve the flooding as a whole system, water management of Ubonrat Damm water management guidelines and plans to solve flooding/drought problems in the area. There was also a presentation of the weather and forecasting of Khon Kaen Province. The delegation observed engagement activities and water pumping with large pumps to replenish water costs to solving drought problems in Phu Wiang District, Khon Kaen Province. They met and visited the people from the informal sector, self-employed persons, and labour volunteers in Khon Kaen Province who came to welcome them. Labour volunteers plan an important role in delivering the Ministry of Labour’s mission to the people in the area, to provide people with jobs, skills, careers, and income, and ensure protection and sustainable social security.
