Labour Minister Assigns SSO to Provide Booster Doses to Section 33 Insured Persons in Chonburi

          On January 21, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin visited the Section 33 Insured Persons Vaccination Center at the Pacific Park Shopping Center, Sriracha District, Chonburi Province. Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong and the Social Security Office’s Secretary-General, Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, also attended the visit. Deputy Governor of Chonburi Province, Mr. Niti Wiwatwanich, gave a welcoming.
          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Choklin said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, and the Ministry of Labour under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, is concerned for the people and those affected by the COVID-19 situation. The Labour Minister was assigned to charge agencies under the Ministry of Labour to work together, strengthen the workforce network, and adjust the working style to make it more accessible. The Ministry of Labour was also tasked with building awareness among the workforce, using the labour economy database to formulate policies and link central and regional databases to be unified to comply with government policy, considering the importance of helping people. Today, he has visited the area to visit and encourage Section 33 insured persons getting their third dose of the vaccination, and the hospital and related staff who have helped each other work to the best of their ability to provide vaccination booster doses since January 17.
          The Social Security Office’s Secretary-General, Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, added that Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Ministry of Labour’s Social Security Office to survey Section 33 insured persons who wish to get the vaccine booster does. It coordinated employers and HR personnel to register via the e-service system and start vaccinations simultaneously in 20 vaccination centers across Bangkok and 13 vaccination centers in 10 important economic provinces. The vaccination centers began providing vaccination services from January 17, 2022, except Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. A total of 1,524,775 people in Bangkok and 851,309 people in other provinces submitted requests via the e-service system. In Chonburi Province, 193,227 insured persons wish to get the booster does. The Chonburi Provincial Social Security Office was assigned to organize two vaccination centers, namely Central Plaza Chonburi, in cooperation with Vibharam Laem Chabang Hospital and Pacific Park Sriracha Shopping Center, in collaboration with Phyathai Sriracha Hospital. Both vaccination centers have the potential to vaccinate 1,500 people a day. The two vaccination sites combined can provide vaccination services for 3,000 people daily.
          The Social Security Office’s Secretary-General reiterated that insured persons who have been scheduled to receive the third dose should be prepared, get enough rest, abstain from strenuous exercise, wear a convenient shirt for the vaccination, and have their original ID card ready. For the convenience of information verification, he asked insured persons to prepare information or evidence of the first and second vaccination doses and be confident that the Social Security Office is ready to serve insured persons to the best of their ability to get through the COVID-19 crisis together.
