Mr. Suchart said that the government under your leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, and the Ministry of Labour under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, have given importance to driving the country’s economy amid the COVID-19 situation. They have supported stable and sustainable employment, allowing people to work appropriately with their knowledge, abilities, and aptitudes and earn income to support themselves and their families, have a good quality of work-life, and have social security.
“I would like to congratulate the staff of the Nakhon Pathom Provincial Employment Office on this new office building. People who come to contact the government will be more comfortable due to the wider service area. There are enough parking and transportation routes connecting to the government center, and service users can contact for services from other government agencies. The Provincial Employment Office has an important mission to serve all target groups with care and attention, including the unemployed, students, the parolees, the vulnerable, the handicapped, the elderly, and the socially disadvantaged, including entrepreneurs who want to hire Thai and foreign workers. The goal is to support people to have jobs, have a stable and sustainable income, in line with the government policy that we won’t leave anyone behind,” concluded Mr. Suchart.
The Department of Employment’s Director-General Pairoj Chotikasathian said that the Nakhon Pathom Provincial Employment Office was established in 1993 by renting a 3-story commercial building, with two rooms, located on Ratchadamnoen Road (Ton Son Road), Phra Pathom Chedi, Mueang Nakhon Pathom, Nakhon Pathom. Later, in 1997, the office moved to a 3-story commercial building, with two rooms on Nawakhet Road, Phra Prathon, Mueang Nakhon Pathom, Nakhon Pathom. In 2001 the building moved again on Nawakhet Road. It is a 3-story commercial building with four rooms. In 2011, the location moved to Petchkasem Road, Huai Chorakhe, Mueang Nakhon Pathom, Nakhon Pathom Province, to a 4-story commercial building with six rooms, which has served as the office until now. It is a rented building, which costs a lot annually. At present, there are 200-300 people receiving services per day, causing insufficient space. Therefore, the Department of Employment asked to use the royal property area to construct a new office building for the Nakhon Pathom Provincial Employment Office on an area of 3 rai. It is a 2-story building and will be used to serve the people in the promotion of employment. It is aimed at all target groups and will look to control the work of foreigners and support work according to its mission. It has meeting rooms and parking spaces. The Department of Employment has allocated the budget to construct the new Nakhon Pathom Provincial Office Building in Don Yai Hom, Mueang Nakhon Pathom, Nakhon Pathom. The total budget is over 24 million Baht for the Nakhon Pathom Provincial Employment Office. The construction schedule is 400 days between April 1, 2021, to May 5, 2022, and there is a plan to request a budget allocation for the construction of a multi-purpose building for occupational promotion activities and an integrated vocational demonstration space, which will benefit the people to have a career and sustainable income. It is in the same area as the Nakhon Pathom Provincial Employment Office, totaling 24 rai, including six agencies, facilitating the people who will contact the government.
