The Ministry of Labour, under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, therefore has the policy to assist workers who suffer from unemployment problems as a result of the Covid-19 situation, returning to their hometown to have a career and stable income to be self-reliant. Today, the Ministry of Labour’s Social Security Office has partnered with the Land Bank Administration Institute (Public Organization) or the Bank, which is an agency that has various forms of land management, to reduce the inequality in land ownership, such as the distribution of land ownership, land use audit, prevention of loss of rights and the creation of a land management mechanism for those interested in a career in agriculture. It is an initiator of the new seedling return path project (new normal) for those who return to their homeland and want to work in agriculture by providing support in the acquisition of land and finance for modern agriculture, restoring the foundation economy.
“Today is a good opportunity for cooperation. Insured persons who have suffered from unemployment and returned to their homeland to work in agriculture can receive opportunities from the Bank, which will allocate, procure, and help prevent land loss. This is to promote the quality of life of workers who are unemployed and return to their homeland to pursue a sustainable agricultural career,” concluded Mr. Suchart.
