The Labour Minister commended the Social Security Smile Corner, as a special certification point for insurers who visit hospitals in the social security network, at Vichaivej Hospital in Samut Sakhon. The initiative aims to strengthen the confidence of insured persons to receive services that are more convenient, faster, and more efficient.
On November 9, 2020, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin presided over the opening of the Social Security Smile Corner as a special certification point for insurers who visit Vichaivej Hospital in Mueang Samut Sakhon, Samut Sakhon. Advisor to the Labour Minister Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan along with the Social Security Office’s Secretary-General Mr. Todsaphon Kritwongwiman, the Ministry of Labour’s senior executive, and the Director of Vichaivej Hospital also joined the occasion. The Labour Minister said that the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha, has focused on strengthening social security to be inclusive and appropriate for all ages. In the part of the Ministry of Labour, the Labour Minister has the belief that all insured persons in the social security system can be taken care of by staff with convenience and speed, with access to comprehensive services in medical institutions that belong to the nationwide network. Therefore, he has instructed the Social Security Office to invite hospitals from the social security network to have a Social Security Smile Corner to serve as a special reception point for insured persons who come to the hospital, such as drinking water, beverages, coffee, tea, and rest seats while waiting for service.
Mr. Suchart said that today, the Ministry of Labour by the Social Security Office opened the Social Security Smile Corner at Vichaivej Hospital in Samut Sakhon to strengthen the confidence of insured persons who use the service to receive convenience. He asked insurers to be assured that the Social Security Office will take care of them and is ready to continuously develop social security work based on the sustainable development philosophy to further secure life and health stability.
On this occasion, the Labour Minister and committee also visited and gifted souvenirs for morale to insured persons being treated at Vichaivej Hospital in Samut Sakhon too.
