Content Description

On August 10, 2022, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, congratulated the collaboration between the Ministry of Labour and Accenture on opening Accenture’s Intelligent Operations Center in Thailand. The Minister of Finance, Mr. Arkhom Termpittayapaisith, chaired the event, which took place at the Sathorn Prime Building, 12A floor, Narathiwat Ratchanakarin Road.
Mr. Suchart said the Thai workforce is full of potential and skilled human resources. Therefore, the aim to develop skills and increase knowledge, especially in technology, digital, and innovation, to promote the future workforce in the new economy and various special development zones is a matter that the Ministry of Labour attaches great importance to. The opening of this center will create a stimulus for increased demand for employment. It will support the development of the workforce to become quality workers, support the New S-Curve, and meet the goals of the manufacturing sector. It will further promote international labour cooperation, including systematic management of foreign workers, to facilitate the work in Thailand for foreigners with high performance, resulting in reduced labour shortages in both manufacturing and service sectors.
Mr. Suchart continued that he believes the Intelligent Operations Center will create careers of value for the country’s economy and bring in foreign experts with excellent skills in technology and innovation to work in Thailand. It will promote the learning and transfer of essential skills to local workers to create a workforce of global citizens following the National Human Resource Development Strategic Framework, which the Ministry of Labour has linked to the 20-Year National Strategy and the draft framework of the 13th National Economic and Social Development Plan. The efforts will result in occupation stability and sustainable income to promote a better quality of life. Businesses and the public sectors will have qualified personnel who will help create growth and change for the organization, driving the economy and society for the nation and attracting more international investors to have the confidence to invest in Thailand.
“The Ministry of Labour believes that opening Accenture’s Intelligent Operations Center will significantly contribute to Thailand’s people, society, and economy. For example, between 2022 and 2025, over 20,000 jobs will be created in Thailand. The Ministry of Labour is ready to support the workforce for the maximum benefit of workers both now and in the future,” concluded Mr. Suchart.
