Labour Minister Delivers Consumer Goods to Support Charitable Organizations

          On July 27, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Ministry of Labour’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, and the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General, Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud, to donate consumer goods which the Ministry of Labour received from the private sector, to support people suffering from the impact of COVID-19. The occasion took place at the foyer, 1st floor, Ministry of Labour. The goods were given to three charitable organizations. The first was the “Fueng Fah Center,” which received 5,000 packs of instant noodles, 1,000 bottles of drinking water, 5,000 hygiene masks, 100 bags of rice, 10 gallons of alcohol gel, and 1,000 bottles of vitamin water. The second organization was “Team Help,” and the third was Khun Saowaluk Bangkoknoi, from Krua Klang Trok Kao Mai, with 2,500 packs of instant noodles, 500 bottles of drinking water, 2,000 hygiene masks, 60 bags of rice, 5 gallons of alcohol gel, and 500 bottles of vitamin water. The Ministry of Labour has brought consumer goods donated from the private sector and kind people to give to the employees in the worker camps. It is a supplementary measure and the Ministry of Labour’s request for employers to provide workers with three meals, whereas the Ministry of Labour will support consumer goods. The measures are aimed to support workers who are affected by the CCSA’s instructions to close the construction worker’s camp to restrict traveling and movement of workers in the dark red provinces for one month to control the spread of COVID-19 in the worker camp clusters.

         “Today, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned me to bring consumer goods donated to the Ministry of Labour by the private sector. The goods are forwarded to charitable organizations to help people affected by COVID-19, through the Fueng Fah Center, Team Help, and Khun Saowaluk Bangkoknoi, from Krua Klang Trok Kao Mai, to help each other in times of need. These items will be distributed to workers and people to alleviate their suffering and food expenses,” concluded Mrs. Thiwalrat.
